Day three at the gym. Although I feel good being there, bumps in the road are kicking in. I have an inflammation in my leg, nothing big but it’s annoying. Annoying enough to skip the gym. I felt I needed to be home at 3PM today, not much time to go to the gym. Reason enough to skip the gym. My back hurt this morning, not a good idea to go to the gym today…
But, I kicked all those excuses in the butt and I went to the gym. I did decide on another muscle group as my back didn’t seem like the wisest choice. Oh, and yesterday I read a bit more in the “Thinner, Leaner and Stronger” book and I read that I was supposed to do a maximum of 12 heavy lifts with max. 10 lifts. The only thing I’m still doing different is that I’m using machines in stead of the exercises written out. But that’s a thing for next week.
Can’t wait to go back tomorrow. So the deal with myself is that I go in every day. Come rain or shine. I get 2 cheat days every week on which if it’s truly not possible I can skip or on which I don’t train at the gym, but swim. Very proud of myself for beating my excuses!
